PAYING YOUR SOLICITOR’S FEES
NO WIN NO FEE
Here at RG Jones Solicitors, we offer a genuine ‘No Win, No Fee’ service to all our clients. Our clients are invited to enter into a Conditional Fee Agreement (CFA) with the firm on the understanding that they will not be charged for any work carried out on their behalf in the event of an unsuccessful claim.
The crucial feature is that if you do not succeed then you will not be liable for our fees.
There are various other methods of financing a claim. For example, payment of our costs on an hourly basis or legal expenses insurance cover. If you don’t have the resources then making a No Win No Fee claim could help you to gain access to justice.
If your claim is unsuccessful, we are not entitled to charge you anything. We are only entitled to recover our costs from you in the event that we must terminate the No Win No Fee Agreement. Consequently, if you fail to provide instructions or mislead us in any way, we would end the agreement.
SUCCESS FEE
On the 1st April 2013 the law changed. As a result, solicitors’ legal fees were reduced. Hence success fees are now payable by the client and not the third party. Solicitors can charge a success fee by deducting up to 25% from a client’s award of compensation.
RG Jones Solicitors assess each case on its own merits.
We will set the success fee at a low % if the risk is low. We will only deduct 25% from your award of compensation if the risk of us not getting paid is high.
We will discuss the risks with you during our initial consultation.
